The choice of prosthesis depends on both physical and preferential factors of the surgeon. At the end of the visit, once the pelvis and anthropometric measurements have been taken, it will be generally known what volume can be implanted and the prosthetic dimensions. I often ask my patients to trust my aesthetic sense and leave the final choice to me, which will be made in the operating room by trying different shapes and models. I always recommend caution, not to overdo it, because our body cannot always accept disproportionate volumes, otherwise there will be serious consequences on physical health.
